Stage 1 Park Campus Redevelopment
Union St, Parkway Ave and Corlette St
Newcastle Grammar School (NGS) is an independent co-educational day school in Newcastle, with over 1,200 students and staff. The School caters to students from Kindergarten to Year 12. Currently, NGS operates across two locations: Park Campus – Kindergarten to Year 4, and Hill Campus – Years 5 to 12.
NGS is preparing for a major transformation at Park Campus with plans to build a contemporary, world-class facility. Newcastle Grammar has a long and proud history of academic excellence. Outstanding new facilities such as this will create new learning opportunities that inspire our students. In addition to classrooms, the building will have flexible learning spaces for breakout activities and play, plus an additional rooftop play zone.
This project is an exciting opportunity for the School community that will also cater for the growing demand in enrolments as the School reaches capacity. Replacement and upgrade of ageing facilities, to enable relocation of Years 5 and 6 to Park Campus, will also allow future growth at Hill Campus.
Logistics
Works commenced in August 2023. Some disruption to traffic flow and parking is expected. Building contractors will work to minimise construction disruption in terms of noise and dust.
Council regulations will be strictly adhered to, and construction is expected to be completed and ready for use in January 2025.
We thank our neighbours for their patience and understanding as we build a learning environment that will inspire future generations of young people.
