Events

Newcastle Grammar School hosts many events during the year including reunions, community events, celebrations and performances.

The NGS community is made up of students, staff and parents, both present and past, to form a deeply connected network. There are a number of events on the NGS calendar for current families to connect and serve, and performances that are open to families, friends and public. Please see below for further details.

Founders’ Day Celebrations

Friday 24 July
Christ Church Cathedral and The Newcastle Club

For long-standing members of the NGS alumni community, including the revered ‘CEGGS Old Girls’ and the gentlemen who attended Broughton School, the 2026 celebrations commence with the Founders’ Day Eucharist at Christ Church Cathedral followed by the traditional Founders’ Day Lunch at the Newcastle Club, where shared stories and good company will be at the heart of the afternoon

Back to School

We welcome all past students and staff to tour the school and reconnect.

Begin in Horbury Hunt Hall where current students will lead your tour.
Your last stop will be the Hill Building Balcony to enjoy drinks and canapés whilst you relive memories.
