Getting to Newcastle Grammar School
Car/Bus
Newcastle Grammar School is easily accessible from all areas of Newcastle, Port Stephens, Maitland and Lake Macquarie by car, public transport, private bus services or dedicated school services between home and school.
For Newcastle Transport dedicated school student routes which come directly to either campus, search using the School Services option on the Newcastle Transport website.
Parking
Street parking is available, although limited. We recommend utilising the Kiss and Drop areas to make the morning and afternoon process quick and smooth. For longer stays, timed paid parking exist adjacent to both campuses or free parking options are a short walk away.
School Bus Charters
The School runs its own bus services from and to Toronto, Redhead, Caves Beach, Minmi, Maitland, Port Stephens and Merewether. Check individual schedules below for Park and Hill Campus drop off / pick up times. Some routes offer a late 5.15pm service (see schedule). Other designated Newcastle Transport school services run directly passed both campuses. Click here to search for the routes.

Note: This defaults to Sydney. Select live bus info by clicking Church St (opp Christ Church Cathedral) and looking for Toronto #6434 (morning run), #6405 (afternoon), or #6407 (late service).
Train
The train services run to the Newcastle Interchange and connecting light rail will transport passengers into the centre of Newcastle where it is a short walk to the Hill Campus. A bus runs between campuses and can transfer students to Park campus.
Ferry
The ferry from Stockton arrives at Newcastle and is a 10 minute walk to the Hill Campus.
Airport
The School is located approximately 40 minutes from the Williamtown Airport.
